Craig Wilson

Craig Wilson, the founder of CWC Intellectual Property, is a respected intellectual property professional. He is also both a licensed Canadian patent and trademark agent as well as a U.S. patent agent. Moreover, Craig is also a fellow member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada.

Background

Craig earned his Bachelor of Engineering Science in Electrical Engineering from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Subsequently, he proceeded to became a Licensed Canadian Patent Agent and Trademark Agent and a U.S. Patent Agent. In 1994, he founded Craig Wilson and Company, Patent and Trademark Agents, which also goes by the name CWC Intellectual Property.

Experience

Besides establishing this firm, Craig has over 40 years of experience in patents and trademarks, with a focus on acquiring, protecting, and enforcing intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, and design protection.  Furthermore, he has worked in a variety of technical fields, including power engineering, electronics, consumer electronics, telecommunications, and paper-making machinery. In addition, he is also well-versed in clearance and availability searching in patents, trademarks and industrial designs, licensing and infringement, and validity matters. Craig has extensive experience in creating, building and managing corporate patent and trademark departments, including discovering and capitalizing on a company’s intellectual property rights.

Over the course of his career, Craig has worked in-house and virtually in-house with corporations having worldwide mandates. His wealth of experience and expertise in intellectual property law and practice make him an exceptional asset to his clients.
